Community Development Officer

The City of Kingston is south-east of Melbourne and is approximately 20km from Melbourne's CBD. The role

An exciting opportunity is available to join the Social Development Team leading the implementation of Kingston’s Gambling Action Plan 

You will work in collaboration with staff in the Social Development Team, across Council and the community to facilitate effective, evidence-based initiatives to reduce and prevent gambling harm.

You will develop strong partnerships with peak bodies, organisations and local councils.

About you

We are looking for someone with:

· Experience undertaking community development and capacity building initiatives

· High-level communication skills with a demonstrated capacity to work effectively with a broad range of people from diverse backgrounds

· Excellent project management and time management skills

· Knowledge and understanding of the social impacts of gaming
